Interior design of an apartment

nō. 00

2019 Ghent, Belgium.

The apartment which was built in 2015 is located along the bank of the river Leie and stands in the shadow of the library de Krook. The south-facing flat was fitted with many large windows, making it a very light-filled dwelling. In combination with the pale tones of the walls and floors, the architects saw this as an opportunity to add accents to the space through the furniture.

It therefore sought to make the interior a light and frivolous, yet warm and atmospheric place. Each piece was deliberately positioned free-standing so as to detach it from the flat and allow the user to centrally enjoy the beautiful view over the water. Despite its central location in Ghent, this appartment is a place where you can completely unwind.
