Furniture: custom made by Atelier Fontein

A residential area in Lievegem provides the location for the design of a garden office. After drawing a few conceptual lines, we quickly explored the language of form that we wanted to use for this design. A cohesion between the existing house and the new pavilion was essential. Especially since the pavilion is quite close to the house, we consciously opted to introduce progressive lines that accentuated the verticality of the pavilion.

To accentuate this, a few prominently present columns were added. The materiality fully attuned to this. The pale columns go side by side with the vertical black-brown wooden cladding. The neatness of the design lies in the creation of minimalist volumes to which we seek the tension between horizontal volumes and the vertical pavilion. A wall at sitting height guides you to the pool.
